Friday Fun Day

For the first time in months, I have NOTHING on my calendar for this weekend!  Aaaaahhhhhh!  We'll probably do some decluttering (we're trying to get our house ready to sell) and lots of relaxing.  The weather should be beautiful, so maybe we'll do some grilling.

What's on tap for you and your family this weekend?

    1. Happy Mother's Day to you all, too! I came across this neat quote today...

“To be Queen Elizabeth within a definite area, deciding sales, banquets, labours, and holidays; to be Whitely within a certain area, providing toys, boots, cakes and books; to be Aristotle within a certain area, teaching morals, manners, theology, and hygiene; I can imagine how this can exhaust the mind, but I cannot imagine how it could narrow it. How can it be a large career to tell other people about the Rule of Three, and a small career to tell one's own children about the universe? How can it be broad to be the same thing to everyone and narrow to be everything to someone? No, a woman's function is laborious, but because it is gigantic, not because it is minute.” ― G.K. Chesterton

  2. We'll be doing a lot of lawn mowing...prepping the garden for planting...cleaning out the garage...washing the van...visiting the farmer's market...having a family movie night (The Return of the King for the older children, still deciding on a movie for the younger ones)...& celebrating our youngest daughter's 1st Confession on Sunday with a cook-out with her godparents & my mother-in-law.

  3. Tomorrow is my best friend's wedding, and my son's first time having a sleepover at my mother's house. Sunday morning we'll pick up my son after Mass. The forecast looks great, so we'll probably go for a walk together as a family. My mother will come over for dinner Sunday night, and hopefully it will be warm enough to eat outside. My husband will grill steak and asparagus, and I will make potato salad tomorrow so I won't have to cook on Mother's Day.
