Prayer Request

Could I please ask for a few more prayers?  My great niece, Braylee, was born with a heart defect nine weeks ago.  At that time, the doctors said they would wait until she was 6-9 months old before doing heart surgery to fix it.  But she's been losing weight and her heart valves are deteriorating faster than they thought.  So she's scheduled for heart surgery tomorrow morning at 7 a.m.  Her dad, my nephew, is only twenty-one and not married yet to Braylee's mom.  They and the doctors could use all the prayers we can give them.  Thank you so much!

Is there anything we can pray about for you?  If so, please share.

  1. CatholicMom, in just a few minutes from now, I will offer my Angelus for successful surgery and healing for Braylee.

We have to choose a high school for our older daughter by next Monday, and could certainly use prayers for guidance and direction. We have two good choices, but each has pros and cons and it's hard to know what would be best.

  3. My first prayer is that Braylee's parents would bring her to the grace of Baptism.

Heavenly Father, physician of our souls & bodies, Who have sent Your only-begotten Son & Our Lord Jesus Christ to heal every sickness & infirmity, visit & heal Your handmaiden Braylee from all physical ailments through the grace of Your Christ. Grant her strength of body & recovery of health. Grant wisdom & ready obedience to those whom You have set over her. Send Your holy Angel from heaven to guard, protect, visit & defend this, Your child, sick in her tender years. Lord, You have taught us through Your word to pray for each other that we may be healed. We pray, heal Your handmaiden & grant to her the gift of complete health. For You are the source of healing & to You we give glory, Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Amen.+

Almighty God, our Help & Refuge, Fountain of wisdom & Tower of strength, direct Anne & her husband to divine wisdom that they may make this decision according to Your will, so that it may be profitable to their daughter & to the glory of your Holy Name. Amen.+

Asking prayers for my mother-in-law, Shirley, who has Alzheimers, for my friend MaryAnn (& her husband Matt) - mother of 8 who has cancer, & for a dear priest friend, Fr. Paul, who also has cancer. Thank you!

  5. Well, we just got word that the surgeon had a death in his family, so surgery is postponed until Monday morning. Please pray for the doctor's family, as well as Braylee. Thanks!

  6. Prayers arising like incense for all those in need!

We just found out tonight that our former priest's (who is also our youngest son's godfather) brother died unexpectedly. Fr. Kevin will be celebrating his brother William's funeral liturgy tomorrow. William was only 48. Thank you in advance for your prayers for his soul & for the family.
