Spring Break Fun
Our kids will be on spring break next week and we're looking for something fun to do with them. We may take a short trip to see family, but may end up staying in town and doing the zoo or the children's museum. What do you do for fun in your area?
Our Spring break isn't till Holy Week. I'm hoping that by that time the weather will be warm and we'll be able to do some outdoor activities. Over school vacations we do a lot of playdates, library activities, museums, and crafts at home.
We homeschool & usually take our spring break during Holy Week, as our days/nights are often busy with liturgical serves & we try to keep the spirit of the Lenten season as fully as we can that week. That being said...it is a beautiful & spring-like 69 degrees out today & we have declared a get-outside-and-stay-outside-sun-day (versus a snow day) since it calls for colder temps & the possibility of snow/ice tomorrow night!
Sounds like we might take an overnight trip to Kansas City and see what we can find for the kids to do. After the last eight months, we all could use a little bit of time out of our ordinary schedule. And we're already planning a couple play dates, although I was informed by our 12 year-old son that middle school students don't play...they hang out. Haha!
