Married Fun

What do you and your spouse do for fun together?  You know, once in a blue moon, when you have a chance to do something without the kids, what is your go-to activity?  Let's share ideas in hopes that we all have a chance to use one or more soon.  ;)

We enjoy movies, so we try to do that every once in a while.  Our other favorite activity is going to the shooting range.  We both love shooting, so it's a fun time together.  We also have one restaurant reserved as our "never bring the kids with us" restaurant...Bonefish Grill.  We go as often as we can get there and enjoy a quiet dinner.

  1. This is a very timely question, because my 10th anniversary is tomorrow! We have no plans at all (I'm still waiting for my mother to offer to babysit...). I will probably make a chicken dinner and we'll eat in the diningroom, but there will be a third party (my son!). Anyway, when we do have the opportunity to go out together, our default is going out to dinner. Lately we've also been going to a small, reasonably priced theatre near our house. Before my son was born, we loved going for walks together, and that's something that we now do as a family.

  2. Early Happy Anniversary, claire! We have a favorite Indian cafe that we've been going to since celebrating our first anniversary. Whenever we show up, the owners know it is either our anniversary or my birthday. ;) This year will be our 20th anniversary (!!), but we've made no plans as of yet, as we are busy with plans for my parents 50th wedding anniversary this summer.
