Back to the real world....

Our vacation was fantastic!!!  Could've stayed in D.C. for a month and still not seen it all.  The wedding was beautiful and it was great to be with almost all of the family.  Couldn't have asked for a better time!

Now I'm back to refereeing between the kids, washing clothes, cooking, and working part-time (from home).  As soon as we get into the swing of things, it'll be time for me to head back to school for in-service.  Summer is flying by!

How are you?  What's been going on with everyone?

  1. Welcome back! I'm glad you had a good time. My son finally finished school two days ago, and it's been a whirlwind! His kindergarten graduation was last Thursday (kind of strange since he still had several days left of school). Thankfully, I wasn't a total mess like I was for preschool graduation, although it has definitely been an emotional time. Even though there are things I hate about school (Common Core, limited parental access, etc), his teacher and classroom aide are very gifted and I'm going to miss them tremendously. They both got teary saying goodbye to him on the last day, and that made me feel good because I'm glad that they're attached to him and that they care. I just can't believe how fast these early years have gone by! Anyway, in the two days since school ended, we've had a playdate at the library, a playdate at the science museum, we've gone to a kiddie amusement park, and today we're going strawberry picking! I don't usually schedule so much each day, but it just kind of worked out that way.

  2. Yay for the end of school! I spent the afternoon with our new priest today, going over the various ministries in our parish. I am in love! He is so on fire with the faith and excited to jump right in and get busy. We are blessed!
