Holiday Plans
Anyone have exciting plans for the holiday weekend? My hubby got a surprise extra day off on Monday because they'll be doing some computer updating that day. So we're heading to Kansas City for a couple days of fun with the kids. Hopefully, we'll catch a fireworks show. We're also going to try a couple restaurants that were featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on Food Network. We are a "live to eat" kind of family, so that's right up our alley.

That sounds like a lot of fun! Restaurants are my favorite form of recreation, too! I was very excited to find out that my husband has Friday off. It has been a long time since he's had 4th of July off. We don't have anything specific planned, but the forecast looks great (after several days in the high 80s and 90s, Friday is going to be in the 70s, which I'm very happy about!).
ReplyDeleteYay for your hubby's day off! And for the anticipated cooler weather. I think we're supposed to have low 90's over the weekend. We do have a beautiful day today...sunny and 78.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you're sending us the cooler weather! It's amazing how it can fluctuate. My computer at work is based out of Georgia, so when I look up the weather I initially get the Atlanta forecast. On Monday and Tuesday it was cooler in Atlanta than it was up here (upstate NY)! But their forecast for the holiday weekend is looking pretty hot.
