I have a Rite and regular session with my Confirmation kids on Sunday. But the most exciting news here is that my hubby is coming home from a business trip tonight! I don't know how single moms do it. Kudos to them!
He had to go to Dallas this week and next for training with the rest of his engineering group. I'm very thankful there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
My husband normally works on Saturdays, but this weekend they changed his schedule so he'll be home during the day and then go in Saturday night at 9 to work the overnight shift. So tomorrow we're taking my son to the NYS museum and out to lunch, and then the vigil Mass. (My husband is turning 50 in a couple of weeks, so my mother is going to babysit for us one evening so we can finally have a night out to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary, which was yesterday.) Sunday after my husband's nap, we'll do our usual fire in the fireplace after dinner.
Happy anniversary, Claire! Ladies, could I please ask for some prayers? I'm teaching today and we just got word that one of our school families was in a terrible accident on the way to school this morning. Their daughter in Kindergarten is critically injured. Please, please pray for Ali and the Thimesch family!
Please keep praying! They did surgery to relieve her brain swelling and it didn't help. They've called our priest back up to the hospital. So heartbreaking!

ReplyDeleteYeah, that's got to be hard. I didn't realize that your husband's new job involved travel. I hope it's going well so far!
